Starch Reagents PolyKR

ToR 2262-035-97457491-2010

These reagents are intended for regulating the filtering characteristics of and stabilizing process fluids used in drilling. The series of starch reagents includes the following products: PolyKR-F, highly resistant to Ca and MG salts; PolyKR-K, with a strong thickening capacity; PolyKR-D, with moderate viscosity properties.

Product characteristics

      Types
  F K D
Physical form White-to-creamy loose powder
Water content, mass %, max 10 10 10
Residue on sieve with 1-mm cells, mass %, max 5 5 5
Effective viscosity of 5.5 mass % of slurry processed with 1 mass % of PolyKR, mPa·s ≤ 20 ≥ 20 ≤ 20
Effective viscosity of 4.3 mass % slurry saturated with NaCl and processed with 3 mass % of PolyKR, mPa·s ≥ 20 ≥ 20 ≤ 20
Reduction in static filtering of 4.3 mass % slurry saturated with NaCl and processed with 3 mass % of PolyKR, minimal multiplicity 4 8 2

Application

Starchy reagents PolyKR are easily soluble in fresh, sea, and saline water and allow regulating process fluid parameters at temperatures of up to 100°Ñ. The optimal process properties of drilling fluid are attained after its thermal treatment at 80–90 °C.

Processing

The recommended consumption of PolyKR reagents ranges from 5 to 30 kg per cubic meter of drilling fluid.

Packaging

PolyKR are packaged in 25-kg polypropylene bags with a polyethylene liner.
