The ultrafine Ultracement (construction, oil-well, special-purpose cement) produced and supplied by JSC Polycell SPA is similar to extrafinely dispersed Microdur binder. There are four commercial versions of Ultracement: Ultracement-15, Ultracement-10, Ultracement-7, Ultracement-5.

Application
Ultracement is a plugging material intended to eliminate complications at drilling and in running and extensive repairs of oil and gas wells in the following cases: for eliminating behind-the-casing flow in the borehole annulus; for cementing highly permeable and poorly resistant soaked surroundings; for recovering the strength of fractured cements; for providing upright and horizontal insulation to subterranean structures; for eliminating large caverns and cavities (up to 40÷50 m) with the help of paint application devices max. Ultracement is supplied to a zone under repairs as a water suspension or with a transporting agent (polyglycol, diesel fuel), or pressurized by injection with the help of sealing-ring injectors in which case the microcement enters fine pores and cracks. The microcement suspension has a high mobility similar to the flowability of water even at the minimal W/CM ratio. The suspension’s penetrating capability can be compared with the one of dispersion-free binders. Depending on the source material grade, ultracement hardens in a broad range of temperatures, resists the effect of aggressive media, and does not shrink. Ultracement provides significant strengths when used as an additive to oil-well cement during plug back and casing cementing jobs. A 20 % fraction of ultracement in the grouting mortar formulation makes this grout mix stabler, and ensures high early strength and strong adhesion of cement stone to metal and subsurface rock even at low temperatures.
