K, KF, and KF-C Micaceous Colmataging Fillers for Drilling Fluids
ToR 5725-008-56864391-2007
Micaceous fillers (colmatants) are intended for preventing and eliminating drilling fluid circulation losses. JSC Polycell SPA produces several grades of colmatants with modifying additives that ensure the reinforced filling of pores, cracks, and cavities.
Brand IDs: KF-0.63, 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20 are micaceous colmatants; KF-1C, 3C, 5C, 10C are micaceous colmatants with added modified lignocellulose fibers. The granulometric classes and types are marked as follows KF-1 means that 95 % of the particles are smaller than1 mm; KF-5 means that 95 % of the particles are smaller than 5 mm.

Application
Colmatants are used to prevent rinsing fluid losses and eliminate partial and average-intensity losses of circulation. The colmatant grade for use is determined for specific drilling conditions.
Performance and consumption
Micaceous colmataging compositions are efficient as the main filler of visco-elastic compounds (VEC) pumped into the well for eliminating drilling fluid circulation losses. The consumption of the described reagent ranges from 11 to 17 kg per cubic meter of drilling fluid.
Packaging
Micaceous colmatants are packaged in 20–25-kg polypropylene bags with a polyethylene liner or in 800–1 000-kg big bags.Back
