Polycem Plast Plasticizing Additive to Cement Grouts

ToR 2458-063-97457491-2012

Polycem Plast are a line of complex additives to cement grouts. Polycem Plast are based on carboxylates and mixtures of sodium salts of polymethylene napththalene sulphonic acids of various molecular weights, with modifying additives of lignosulphonic acid salts and other organic and inorganic substances.

Application

Plasticizing additives are intended for use as part of grouting mortars used in cementing at oil, gas condensate, and gas wells for regulating the flow properties of these grouts, reducing the hydraulic resistance of cement grout pumped into the borehole annulus, and decreasing the pumping and squeezing pressure. The additives can be applied in other kinds of concrete and cement mortar mixes used in making concrete and reinforced concrete structures for civil, industrial, transportation, and other kinds of construction. In addition to general plasticizing grades, Polycem is also produced in several versions with additional effects: Polycem-1, a water reducing additive; Polycem Plast-2, a hardening additive; Polycem Plast-3, a hardening kinetics regulation additive.

Processing

Polycem Plast is added to the mortar mix as a water solution together with tempering water. The additive consumption is determined by preliminarily selecting the cement mortar mix composition (~0.1–0.4% of dry cement weight).

Packaging

Polycem Plast is packaged in 25-kg polypropylene bags with a polyethylene liner.
