POLYTAN

ToR 2458-025-56864391-2012

Polytan is a low-vis and highly permeable polymeric material with strong adhesion to subsurface rock and metals. This reagent is used to eliminate complications at well drilling and MOH.

Application

Polytan is used to eliminate disastrous lost circulations in cavernous-fractured deposits, block water-bearing reservoirs at drilling, strengthen and bind water-saturated weak soft soils and subsurface rock, and to fill caverns, cracks, and large-volume cavities at a high hydrostatic head.

Processing and consumption

After being pumped Polytan contacts with the water contained in the well and hardens with a manyfold increase in volume by the gas released with the reaction, including the formation of porous mass. In this case, a durable, strong, and elastic connection with the closed porous structure forms. Before being used Polytan is cured in a warm premise at 10–15°Ñ for 12 hours. A required amount of the reagent is determined by calculation.

Packaging

Polytan is packaged in 60-kg metal barrels.
