Polyisolit Polymeric Insulating Material

ToR 2458-093-97457491-2013

Polyisolit is a polymeric insulating material used to eliminate the leakiness of casing heads (CH) and threaded connections of casing strings of oil and gas wells.

Product specs

Physical form Light yellow to dark brown liquid
Assumed viscosity measured using VZ-4 viscometer at 20 ̊Ñ, seconds, max 30
No-flow time at 80 ̊Ñ, hours, min 3
No-flow time at 20 ̊Ñ, hours, max 24

Application

The compound is prepared by mixing the main component with a hardening agent at a ratio of 3:1 right before pumping.

Processing

Tubing bailers lowered on the hoisting cable into the well are used to avoid accidents with pumping equipment and for repairing threaded connections. Casing heads are repaired using HP small-size pumping units. After the processing is complete, the pumping equipment is washed with special solvent (methyl acetate).

Packaging

PolyIsolit is supplied in 100- and 200-l steel barrels or in 30- and 40-l polypropylene canisters.
