Ferrolignosulphonate (FLS)

Ferrolignosulphonate (FLS) is intended for diluting water-based clayey drilling fluids and reduces viscosity by more than 50% at temperatures of up to 150°C.

Application

FLS influences the flow characteristics of drilling fluid in the same manner as FCLS; although, unlike the latter, FLS contains no chrome, which makes it usable in environmentally sensitive areas.

 

Consumption

The tentative consumption of FLS ranges from 5 to 17 kg per cubic meter of drilling fluid.

 

Packaging

FLS is packaged in 20-kg polypropylene bags with a polyethylene liner.
