Glital

Technical Specifications ÒÓ 2458-006-97457491-2007

The GLITAL lubricating additive is a composition of partially neutralized natural higher fatty acids, glycols, and special additives that enhance the inhibition of clay material swelling. The lubricant disperses readily in water-based drilling fluids due to the presence of an effective emulsifier in its formulation.
During storage, the formation of dense or viscous sediment is acceptable (the presence of sediment is normal for this type of lubricant). This sediment consists of interaction products of the lubricant components, is an integral part of the product, and can be used in the drilling fluid without any restrictions. It is recommended to mix the GLITAL lubricating additive thoroughly before introducing it into the drilling fluid. The GLITAL reagent shall meet the requirements and standards specified in the table below.

Application and treatment

For optimal results, GLITAL is added to the drilling fluid directly in the circulation cycle. The dosage of the lubricating additive to achieve the desired effect is 0.5–3%. GLITAL is compatible with all types of drilling fluids.

Packaging

The GLITAL lubricating additive is poured into clean, dry steel drums conforming to GOST 13950, Type 1, or GOST 6247, with a capacity of 100–200 dm3.Other types of packaging ensuring a sealed container may be used upon agreement with the customer. The container should be filled to no more than 90% of its capacity.
