Polyecol

Technical Specifications ÒÓ 2458-021-97457491-2010

Polyecol is a reagent of combined effect, designed to improve lubricating and anti-wear properties of water-based drilling fluids and to inhibit clay shale swelling. The reagent’s inhibitory effect is evaluated by the change in the rheological characteristics of model clay suspensions before and after introduction of the inhibitor, as well as before and after thermal aging.
Polyecol clay shale swelling inhibitor is a composition based on polyglycols. The reagent is used as an additive to water-based drilling fluids from freshwater to high-mineralized when drilling clay deposits, including drilling at high downhole temperatures (up to 130°C).

PropertiesPolyecol reagent ensures effective inhibition and stabilization of the exposed deposits, prevents swelling and destruction of clays and shales. Due to its high inhibitory ability and surface-active properties it stabilizes the rheological properties of the fluid even under intense drilling conditions.Approximate consumption of Polyecol reagent is 5-20 kg per 1 m? of drilling fluid.

Packaging

Polyecol is supplied in 200 kg steel drums.
