Polyasphatin

Polyasphatin is a clay swelling inhibitor, liquid asphalt, prevents hydration and dispersion of rocks, features properties of a stabilizer and viscosity reducer of freshwater and saline drilling fluids.

Application

Polyasphatin reagent is used for well construction in sections of active colloidal clays to prevent the growth of rheological characteristics and strengthen the bore hole walls. Using the reagent provides control over the growth of filtration characteristics and viscosity of drilling fluids under drilling conditions with high content of colloidal clay phase.

 

Treatment

Recommended concentration of the reagent in the drilling fluid is from 10 to 30 kg/m?. Actual concentration of the reagent depends on the type of clay rock, bit diameter and mechanical drilling advance rate, and the desired level of inhibition.

 

Packaging

Polyasphatin is supplied in 200 kg steel drums.
