Polydefoam foam suppressant

Polydefoam foam suppressants are specially selected silicone-based compositions designed to prevent and eliminate foaming of drilling and process fluids during well construction.
Several grades of foam suppressants are available:Polydefoam is a foam suppressant for freshwater polymer clay and weighted drilling fluids.
Polydefoam-M is a foam suppressant with improved defoaming properties for weighted drilling fluids.
Polydefoam plus is an all-purpose foam suppressant. The reagent is a composition of specially selected components in mineral oil.

Application

Polydefoam series foam suppressants are designed to suppress foam that is caused by the use of surfactants. Polydefoam series foam suppressants have no noticeable effect on drilling fluid parameters. The efficiency of the foam suppressant is determined by viscosity and temperature of the drilling fluid, concentration of the foaming agent and other factors.

 

Treatment

Approximate consumption of Polydefoam series foam suppressants: 0.5–1 kg per 1 m? of freshwater polymer clay drilling fluid and 1.5–2 kg per 1 m? of weighted drilling fluid.

 

Packaging

Polydefoam foam suppressant is supplied in 180-190 kg steel drums (depending on the grade) or in 30 kg plastic canisters.
