The principal advantages of the developed low density fluid system as compared to the currently used flush liquids are: high efficiency of drilling sludge transportation with minimal rheological characteristics of the fluid; minimal thermal biodestruction of the fluid and its components, which reduces the cost of subsequent additional treatment of fluids during drilling and storage. PolyGUM used as the main component of the low density fluid system provides more intensive air entrainment, and faster and more significant reduction of drilling fluid density. Combined with structure-forming polymers and surfactants included in the system, PolyGUM particles are suspended in the entire volume of the aerated liquid and contribute to formation of a more stable and stable structure of low-density fluid.
