PolyTGP backfilling dry mix

Technical Specifications ÒÓ 2458-010-97457491-2007

PolyTGP backfilling dry mix is intended for preparation of backfilling compositions for control of lost return areas in highly permeable fissured and fissure-cavernous reservoirs. The composition is acid-soluble and can be used in the section of productive formations to control lost circulation.
Four grades are available:PolyTGP is recommended for use in wells with normal and abnormally low reservoir pressure and temperature up to 90 °Ñ when drilling wells using aqueous and saline fluids.
PolyTGP-S is recommended for use in wells with abnormally high reservoir pressure and high reservoir temperature.
PolyTGP-B is used for temporary blocking during well killing.
PolyTGP-U can be used with water and oil-based drilling fluids.

Application

PolyTGP backfilling dry mix is used for preparation of backfilling compositions by dissolving Component 1 in fresh or saline aqueous solutions followed by mixing with Component 2 solution above the area or directly in the lost return area. After the solutions are mixed in the lost return area, it irreversibly hardens after a certain time and forms a pill with a plastic strength exceeding 30 kPa. This way, the lost return of drilling fluid or cement slurry is reliably controlled. The amount of prepared backfilling composition is determined by the thickness of the exposed lost return area and hydrodynamic characteristics of the absorbing section.

Packaging

PolyTGP backfilling dry mixture is packed into 25 kg polypropylene bags with a polyethylene liner containing the calculated amount of Component 2.
