Polycarboblock

Polycarboblock composition can be used to control lost circulation of flush liquids in sections of productive formations, for non-damaging well control of wells prone to high filtration rate of the main killing fluid, as well as for temporary conservation of wells when running downhole equipment. Four grades of the material are available:
Polycarboblock-V is a water-based organo-mineral blocking composition with delayed action. It is used for temporary blocking of the downhole area of productive deposits during killing under ALRP conditions, as well as for control of high-intensity lost returns.
Polycarboblock-R is a cross-linked water-based gel with an acid-soluble combined filler.
Polycarboblock-U is a non-aqueous based organo-mineral blocking composition with accelerated action.
Polycarboblock-P is a cross-linked non-aqueous based gel with high adhesion to solid surfaces (liquid packer).

Application

The density of the blocking composition is regulated by introduction of an acid-soluble filler. Gel destruction can occur upon interaction with acidic compositions or on a prolonged basis after 48 hours without additional treatments.The reagent is transported to the lost return areas in inert liquids.

 

Packaging

Polycarboblock reagent is packed into 25–30 kg polypropylene bags with polyethylene liners. Component 2 of Polycarboblock P composition is shipped in 30 kg canisters or in other containers as agreed with the customer.
